Executive Directors: David and Maris Martinez
David Martinez, Executive Director of Burning Bush Ranch, brings a deep understanding of leadership, ministry, family, and the need for pastoral rest.
David and his wife, Maris, have been married for 42 years. Their journey has included unexpected turns, faithful decisions, and seasons of transition that have shaped their heart for serving others. One defining season led them from Arkansas to Texas, where they became permanent parents to children they deeply loved and made the courageous decision to build a new life together.
After nearly a year of transition, David and Maris settled in Texas. David later served as Senior Pastor and Executive Pastor at Community Church and as Superintendent of Community Christian School in Orange, Texas. Before retiring, David also spent 37 years at a Fortune 500 organization, bringing decades of leadership, administrative, and people-centered experience to his ministry work.
Through years of pastoral leadership and service, David came to understand the emotional, physical, spiritual, and mental weight pastors often carry. He knows many pastors spend their lives caring for others, yet have few places where they can step away, rest, and receive care themselves.
That understanding became the foundation for Burning Bush Ranch.
David and Maris created this Christian pastoral retreat in Summit, Mississippi, to provide pastors and ministry leaders with a quiet place to detach from daily responsibilities, reconnect with God, rest in the beauty of creation, and return to ministry with renewed strength.
Their vision is simple and deeply personal: to offer a peaceful retreat where pastors can breathe, pray, reflect, and be restored in the presence of God.

President: Brady Martinez
Brady Martinez brings practical leadership, operational experience, and a deep personal connection to Burning Bush Ranch.
As the son of David and Maris Martinez, Brady understands the heart behind the ranch and the importance of caring well for the pastors and ministry leaders it serves. His background as a small business owner, rancher, and Industrial Safety Professional gives him valuable insight into responsible property care, ranch operations, guest safety, and long-term stewardship.
Brady’s experience helps support the day-to-day strength of Burning Bush Ranch as a Christian pastoral retreat in Summit, Mississippi. His work reflects the quiet, necessary care behind the ministry: maintaining the land, supporting safe operations, and helping preserve a peaceful place where pastors can rest, pray, and be renewed.
Vice-President: Jarrette Hall
Jarrette brings a faithful heart for service, steady leadership, and a deep commitment to Burning Bush Ranch’s mission.
His passion for serving others was shaped through his career in offshore drilling, where responsibility, discipline, and care for people were essential. Though now retired, Jarrette continues to see service as part of his calling. Through his work with Burning Bush Ranch, he supports a Christian pastoral retreat that provides rest, renewal, and spiritual care for pastors and ministry leaders.
Jarrette’s life reflects quiet faithfulness in both ministry and community. A devoted family man who enjoys traveling and cherishes his faith in the Lord, he also serves as an elder at The Well McComb. His presence helps strengthen the heart of Burning Bush Ranch: serving with humility, supporting the mission with care, and helping preserve a peaceful place where pastors can rest, pray, and be renewed.
Treasurer: Michael Bryan
Michael Bryan brings more than 28 years of pastoral leadership, discipleship experience, and spiritual care to Burning Bush Ranch.
As a dedicated Messianic Jewish Rabbi, Michael has served within Messianic Jewish congregations, helping people grow in faith, understand Scripture, and walk more faithfully with God. His heart for ministry is rooted in a desire to bless others, advance the Kingdom of God, and equip future leaders. Having lived in Israel for nearly five years, Michael carries a deep love for the land, its people, and its biblical history.
Michael’s life reflects faithful service, spiritual formation, and a deep commitment to discipleship. Alongside his wife, Patricia, he brings wisdom and care to Burning Bush Ranch, helping support a peaceful place where pastors can rest, pray, grow, and be renewed.
