It’s Hot in July
BURNING BUSH RANCH is burning up. July is bringing record heat! It is hard to get out to work or enjoy the ranch at this time of year. With that being said, the Ranch will be closed in the months of July and August and reopen after Labor Day.
Although it’s hot, the summer garden is producing well, and Maris has been very busy cooking and canning. We love being able to serve our guests fresh food harvested from the ranch.
Progress
We have a talented friend rebuilding our website. Soon you will have a better visual of the ranch, as well as an interactive calendar for pastors to book their stay. We are looking forward to the finished product and appreciate all the hard work put into it.
As we stated in the May newsletter, we have started construction on our second guesthouse – Ruby Lane. We have some big-ticket items to tackle to get this house functional (see list below). We need to run electricity and water to the house (Guesthouse 2 – Ruby Lane and Guesthouse 3 – Quiver Full will share a water well and electricity). They are separate from Guesthouse 1 – The Tiny House, as they are across the property and overlooking the pond. Also, there will be some additional cost as it will be handicapped equipped. It will be an eclectic cottage style with one bedroom, one bath at approximately 850 sq feet. It will have a front and back porch, with the back porch overlooking the pond. We are excited about decorating and equipping this cottage for guests and having a larger, handicapped option for our pastors. We hope you will consider partnering with us on this project, as we are hoping to have the funds to finish it by the fall of 2023.
Exterior – $2k
Interior – $4,500
A/C – $8k
Water Well – $8k

We are daily working the ranch and enjoying God’s provision and bounty and are ready to share it with others. Look what The Lord has done!
Together in Him,
David & Maris Martinez
